William Tarbet 490 Black Watch
MONIKIE SOLDIER FALLS IN ACTION.
Information has been received by his friends in Monikie that Private William Tarbet has been killed in action.
Private Tarbet enlisted in the Scots Guards at the outbreak of war, but was later transferred to the Black Watch. Previous to enlistment he was in the employment of William Nairn & Sons, quarrymasters, Monikie.
