William Smith 15267 Scots Guards
Broughty Guardsman’s Death.
Private William Smith, Scots Guards, son of Mr Andrew Smith, Taymount Cottage, Broughty Ferry, was severely wounded in the chest on 3rd September, and died at a casualty clearing station the following day. He enlisted in February, 1916, and went to France in January, 1917. In civil life he was a head gardener with Mr William Low, Seaview, Monifieth.
