William Bruce Whitton S/42538 London Regiment
Private Wm Bruce Whitton, London Regiment, was killed in action on 21st August. Private Whitton, who is a son of Mrs Ward, 10 Court Street, Dundee, was about 19 years of age. He enlisted in 1917 in the Gordon Highlanders, but was afterwards transferred to the London Regiment, and was only two months in France when he was killed. In civil life he was a carter with Mr Robert Copland, contractor, 50 Trades Lane.
