More about Thomas Piggott
Thomas’s parents were residing at 151 Victoria Rd, Dundee prior to emigrating to Canada. Thomas’s service record states that he was born in Aberdeen and Dundee. Thomas’s father and three brothers all served in the Great War, they were Pte David Piggott 23041, 2nd Battalion Canadian Infantry who died of wounds 5/6/1916. Pte James Piggott Sr, 1282922, No2 Special Service Company, Canadian Army Service Corps, James Piggott Jr, of the Scots Guards, and Pte John Piggott, 2030, of the 4th Battalion, Black Watch who was killed in action, aged 19 on 23/07/1916.
For reasons unknown Thomas is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.
