Thomas was wounded in 1917 and admitted to Arbroath Hospital 11.09.1917 and was discharged 25.09.1917. He was then admitted to Carnoustie Hall 30th Nov and was discharged from there 18th Dec, 1917. He was accidentally killed in a car accident on Blackscroft Rd, Dundee in 1925. His brother Alexander also served in the Great War and also returned safely.
