More about Thomas McFarlane
Thomas Macfarlane 1897 4th Black Watch
About four or five months ago Private Thomas Macfarlane, of the 4th Black Watch, was reported missing, but official news has now been received by his parents, who reside at 4 Wolseley Street, Dundee, that he was killed in action on 25th September.
Only eighteen years of age, Private Macfarlane enlisted in the Dundee Territorials several months previous to the war. He was formerly employed in Angus Jute Works (Thomson Brothers, Ltd.). Of a cheery disposition, he was highly respected by his comrades, and his loss is keenly felt by all who knew him.
