More about Robert Purvey
Robert arrived in France 24.02.1915. He was badly wounded by German Machine Gun fire to both legs, was crudely operated on in Belgium and then evacuated for further treatment and recuperation. Due to his injuries he was unable to return to the front. During WW2 he was a fire watcher before dying aged 51. Robert was a member of Masonic Lodge St. David No.78, 86 Nethergate, Dundee.
