DUNDEE SOLDIER IS WOUNDED
WHEN LEAVING THE TRENCHES.
Pte. Robert Doig 4th Black Watch, was the victim of an accident when leaving the trenches. “Wounded left ankle, accidental.” Was the information contained in the official notification received by his brother, Private John Doig, 219 Blackness Road, Dundee, who is a member of the R.A.M.C. In a letter Robert states that he was leaving the trenches to go to a rest camp when he got his ankle smashed. He has been removed from No. 1 General Hospital to the Convalescent Camp, Havre. Prior to enlisting Robert, who is 22 years of age, was engaged as an under tenter in Mid Wynd Works.
