For reasons unknown Robert is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour. He was discharged from the army 25.09.1915 due to wounds, and according to his pension record his cause of death is recorded as wounds and asthma. He is also not listed on C.W.G.C. or S.D.G.W.
Robert was the Brother of Pte Christopher L. Marshall, 7456, 1st Battalion Black Watch, who was killed in action 15.09.1914.
