David’s Father and three brothers were all involved in the Great War, they were Pte James Piggott Sr, 1282922, No2 Special Service Company, Canadian Army Service Corps, James Piggott Jr, of the Scots Guards, Pte John Piggott, 2030, of the 4th Battalion, Black Watch who was killed in action, aged 19 on 23.07.1916, and the youngest, Sapper Thomas Piggott, 2738007, Canadian Engineers who died in Canada 21.10.1918.
