More about Peter Anderson Soutar

Peter A. Soutar   Lieutenant   Royal Scots

DUNDEE LIEUTENANT WOUNDED.

Lieutenant Peter A. Soutar, Royal Scots, son of Mr and Mrs William Soutar, 157 Lochee Road, Dundee, has been wounded.  Lieutenant Soutar was employed as an engineer in the South of Ireland when war broke out, but he at once came home and joined the Royal Naval Division.  His steady and diligent attention to duty soon brought him promotion, and he attained the rank of petty officer.  He was present at Gallipoli, and although he saw much service, he was lucky enough to escape without a scratch.

At the beginning of last year, he obtained a commission, being transferred to the Royal Scots.  The Lieutenant has not been home for two years.

His younger brother, William, who is in the Army Service Corps, has been in France for eighteen months.
