More about Philip Cosgrove
- Cosgrove Royal Scots
DUNDEE SOLDIER CAPTURED BY GERMANS.
Private P. Cosgrove, of the 2d Royal Scots, is a prisoner of war at Gefangenen-Lager, Doberitz, Germany. Although removed from the fighting line, and under close surveillance of the German military guards, Cosgrove maintains his good spirits.
Writing to his sister, Mrs W. Ramsay, 4 Ryehill Lane, Dundee, he states that if he had only a box of cigarettes, he would enjoy his Christmas all right. He states that he is quite well, and concludes by wishing all his friends a Merry Christmas and a Happier New Year.
