Norman Paton 6983 Cameron Highlanders
DUNDEE MAN WOUNDED IN ACTION.
Norman Paton, a private in the Cameron Highlanders, is the first Dundee soldier who has been reported wounded. Private Paton was a Reservist, but promptly answered the summons to rejoin the colours. When called up Paton was a van-man in the employ of Nicoll & Smibert, Ltd., bakers, Nethergate, Dundee, and with his van supplied the district of the West End and “up the brae,” while he also went over to Newport. Much sympathy will be extended to Mrs Paton, who lives in Pennycook Lane. The same day that word was received of her husband being wounded in action her little child breathed its last.
