Norman was the brother of Pte Andrew Lowson Fairweather, 141304, 15th Battalion Machine Gun Corps, who was killed in action, 27.03.1918.
Norman Fairweather Machine Gun Corps
Gained Legion of Honour.
L-Corporal Norman Fairweather, Machine Gun Corps, son of Mr John Fairweather, lath-splitter, 6 Bell Street, was working as a gardener in Boston when war broke out. He came home to enlist, and joined the H.L.I., and was transferred later to the M.G.C. He won the Legion of Honour for taking charge of his company when his officers and n.c.o’s were killed. He was also promoted for this act.
