DUNDEE SOLDIER MISSING,
ANXIOUS REATIVES FRUITLESS INQUIRY.
What is the fate of Private Michael Summers, a Dundee Royal Scots Fusiliers? Nothing has been heard of him since 8th November, 1914, the date of his last letter home. Mrs M’Crory, 9 Baffin Street, his sister, has made inquiry at the War Office regarding his whereabouts, and has received a notice from the officer in charge of regimental records to the effect that Private Summers was posted missing on 13th November, and that no further information regarding him had since been received.
Private Summers was a reservist, and was employed as a labourer by the Dundee Canister Co., Ltd. He has seen 13 years’ service with his battalion, and resided at 4 Kincardine Street. He is unmarried.
Private Summers’ brother James is also a soldier on active service. He is of the 1st Black Watch.
