Maude M. D. Smith

DECORATION FOR DUNDEE NURSE.

Sister Maude M. D. Smith has been awarded the Royal Red Cross in recognition of her services as nurse in Mesopotamia.  She is a daughter of ex-Bailie D. S. Smith, Dundee.

Sister Smith received her training at the Western Hospital, Glasgow, and upon the outbreak of war she offered her services and for some time was stationed at Stobhill, Glasgow.  Afterwards she was sent to Mesopotamia, where she has been for the past sixteen months, and has seen much active service.
