John Stewart Cox   M.C. 2nd Lieutenant Machine Gun Corps

BROUGHTY OFFICER HONOURED.

Second-Lieutenant John Stewart Cox, son of Mr William Cox, 2 Renny Place, Broughty Ferry, has been awarded the Military Cross.  Lieutenant Cox, who joined the Black Watch two years ago, and was afterwards transferred to a machine gun battalion, has taken part in much severe fighting.  His elder brother, William, has been three years on active service with the Royal Engineers.
