More about John Sandilands Craig
John Craig 7002 R.F.A. Died of wounds 27th April 1918
Driver John Craig, R.F.A., the only son of Mr and Mrs J. S. Craig, 56 William Street, Dundee, has died from wounds on 27th April while a prisoner of war. A chaplain at the camp writing to Mr Craig, says that Driver Craig had every possible care and attention from the Germans. He was buried with military honours. Driver Craig enlisted shortly after the outbreak of war, and had been in France for three years. He was reported missing on 21st March, and later the news came that he was a prisoner. Driver Craig was twenty-three years of age, and in pre-war days he was employed at a Cambuslang colliery.
