John Carden 34720 West Riding Regiment
DUNDEE MAN AWARDED MILITARY MEDAL.
Mr John Carden, 5 Baffin Street, Dundee, was yesterday informed that his son, Private John Carden, West Riding Regiment, has been awarded the Military Medal for acts of gallantry in France. Private Carden, who was doing duty as a company runner in delivering important messages, although exposed to heavy shell-fire. The soldier, who is now marching with his regiment into Germany, has four years’ service to his credit. Before enlisting he was employed as a baker with Mr D. N. Robertson, Ann Street, Dundee.
