John Anderson Black Watch
PLUCKY YOUNG DUNDEE SOLDIER
HAS SEEN A LOT OF ACTIVE SERVICE.
Though only sixteen years of age when he enlisted on 7th August, 1914, Private John Anderson, 2d Black Watch, whose parents reside at 21 Blackness Road, Dundee, has seen a great deal of active service. While in training in this country he volunteered three times for active service, and latterly was included in a batch sent out to France where he took part in the fighting with the2d Black Watch for about ten months. The young hero was with the 2d Battalion of the Black Watch when they were transferred to the Persian Gulf a few months ago.
The parents of Private Anderson have not heard from him for about fourteen weeks and information from any of his comrades would be gladly welcomed.
