More about James W. Martin
James W. Martin
Lance-Sergeant Wounded in the Arm.
Mrs Martin, who resides at 26 Logie Street, Lochee, has received a letter from a relation stating that her husband, Lance-Sergeant James W. Martin, is wounded.
The letter states that Lance-Sergeant Martin was wounded in the arm, and that he had been removed to an hospital in England. Martin, who reached his twenty-third birthday yesterday, enlisted as a private at the outbreak of war, but by the time he left for France he was promoted to his present rank. Before enlistment he was a cloth-dresser with Messrs Buist & Sturrock.
