More about James Hovell

James Hovell   293052   Black Watch

MILITARY MEDAL FOR DUNDEE MAN.

Another Dundee man has gained the Military Medal.  Mrs Hovell, 28 Polepark Road, has just received the gratifying news that her husband, Lance-Corporal J. Hovell, Black Watch, has been awarded this honour for gallantry displayed by him on 23d April.  The lance-corporal, who is 27 years of age, has been in France for a year.  Prior to enlistment he was employed as a carter with Ballingall & Son, Ltd., brewers, Pleasance Breweries, Dundee.
