More about James Brisbane
James Brisbane M.M. 3085 Black Watch
EXCHANGED PRISONER DECORATED.
Lance-Corporal James Brisbane, 6 Ford’s Lane, though quite a young man, has now been discharged. He was reported wounded and missing after the battle of Loos, but it was afterwards learned that he was in the hands of the Germans. Three months later he was exchanged, and returned home minus an arm, which had been amputated while he was a prisoner.
Prior to the war, Lance-Corporal Brisbane, who was a territorial, was employed as a calender worker. He is at present in London enjoying a holiday after his trying experiences.
