For reasons unknown this man is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour. He was the brother of Gunner Peter McGow, 125465, 66th Brigade Royal Field Artillery, who died of wounds, 30.10.1917 and 2nd Lt, Alexander McGow, 4th Battalion, Kings African Rifles, who is believed to have returned home safely.
