DUNDEE MAN RECEIVES COMMISSION.
Corporal George Ford, 206th Field Company, Royal Engineers, youngest son of Mr James Ford, wine and spirit merchant, Milnbank, American Muir Road, Downfield, who has been gazetted second lieutenant in the Royal Engineers (Regular Force).
Second Lieutenant Ford joined the 206th Company R.E. ten months ago as a sapper-surveyor. He is 25 years of age, and was previously in business as an architect in Dundee. The company in which Second Lieutenant Ford received his training left for France three weeks ago.
