More about George Gray Blacklock
George Blacklock Black Watch
DUNDEE SOLDIER WOUNDED.
Private George Blacklock, Black Watch, a young Dundee soldier, has been wounded in four places. Twenty years of age, Private Blacklock joined the Scottish Horse about a year ago, but after seven months’ service with that regiment he was transferred to the Black Watch, and shortly afterwards proceeded to the front. He was previously employed as an apprentice brass-finisher by Mr P. Nucator, brass-finisher and plumber, Bell Street, Dundee. In a letter to his parents, who reside at 81 Victoria Road, Dundee, Private Blacklock says that his arm is pretty badly hurt, but not to worry about him, as he expects to be well soon. He is lying in hospital in Birmingham.
