BROUGHTY FERRY SOLDIER FALLS IN ACTION.
Private Peter Gall, 1st Black Watch, has been killed in action, his father, Mr William Gall, King Street, Broughty Ferry, having received official intimation of the sad event, which occurred on 17th April.
The deceased had been on active service practically since the outbreak of war. He enlisted fully three years ago, was 21 years of age, and was at one time employed at the Stannergate Oilcake Works, Dundee.
