DUNDEE MAN WINS THE MILITARY MEDAL.
Mrs Cosgrove, 150 Overgate, Dundee, has been notified that her son, Private Frank Cosgrove, has been awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous bravery. A letter from the captain of his regiment states—“Single-handed he captured a machine gun under heavy fire.”
Private Cosgrove joined the Indian Army about 8 years ago, and came over with the Indian Expeditionary Force when war broke out. He has also three brothers on active service, Private Michael in the Black Watch and James and John in the Royal Naval Division.
