More about George Charles Findlay

At the time of Georges attestation he lists Miss Ida Findlay, Ernbank, Fairmuir, Dundee as his next of kin. He died of pneumonia 26/05/1918 and is buried in the soldiers plot at Regina Cemetery. George developed heart disease in England and was invalided back to Canada in May 1916. Prior to enlisting George Homesteaded (farmed) SW-5-22-23-W2 Southeast of Dilke, Saskatchewan. He is believed to be the brother of Pte Dudley Gordon Findlay, 620984, Labour Corps, who also served and returned home safely.
