Private Charles J. Dewhurst, H.L.I., who was the son of Mr Arthur Dewhurst, 73 Blackscroft, Dundee, was 28 years of age, and enlisted in May, 1916. He proceeded to France in October of the same year. Deceased was in the employment of J. & J. Cunningham, Ltd., Dock Street. Another son of Mr Dewhurst’s, Private Arthur Dewhurst, is serving in the Royal Engineers.
