D.C.M. FOR DUNDEE SERGEANT.

Sergeant David Stewart, a son of Mr Thomas Stewart 24 Hawkhill, Dundee, has been awarded the Distinguished Conduct Medal for the fine work he did in the attack on May 3.  Sergt. Stewart is only 21 years of age, and has been wounded for the third time.  He is now in a French hospital.

Sergt. Stewart enlisted five years ago, and was formerly in the employment of Messrs Tough Bros., Anchor Works.  He went to the front at the outbreak of war, and has seen service with the Black Watch, Royal Scots and the Machine Gun Corps.  In a letter to Sergt. Stewart’s parents his section officer expresses his own satisfaction, and that of his comrades at “the just recognition of his magnificent conduct.”
