DUNDEE MAN FROSTBITTEN AT YPRES.
Another Dundee soldier has been admitted to hospital suffering from frostbite. Private David Howie, a reservist of the 1st Gordon Highlanders, has informed his wife, who resides at 203 Lochee Road, that he has been sent to hospital in Cambridge, having contracted that trouble in the trenches at Ypres, where he saw severe fighting.
Before the war Private Howie was employed as a hosepipe weaver, with Messrs M’Gregor & Co., Scott Street Works, Dundee.
