DUNDEE MOTOR DRIVER REPORTED

FOR BRAVERY IN THE FIELD.

Private Charles Keith, of the Motor Transport, and a son of Mr John Keith, 9 King’s Road, Dundee, has been reported for gallantry.

Private Keith has sent home an official postcard which he received from Major-General H. F. M. Wilson, commanding the 4th Division.  The postcard reads :―”Your Commanding Officer and Brigade Commander have informed me that you have distinguished yourself by conspicuous bravery in the field.  I have read their reports with much pleasure.”  The postcard bears the date of 27th July.

Private Keith, who enlisted after the outbreak of war, was at one time a motor driver with James Keiller & Sons, Ltd., and latterly held a similar position with William Millar & Sons, High Street.

DUNDEE SOLDIER WINS MILITARY MEDAL.

Private C. Keith, M.T., A.S.C., a son of Mr John Keith, Stanley Place, 17 Step Row, has gained the Military Medal.  Private Keith is twenty-one years of age, and was mentioned in despatches in 1915.  Enlisting in December, 1914, he went to France in February, 1915.  Prior to joining up he was employed with James Keiller & Sons, Ltd.  Mr Keith has other sons serving with the forces in France.
