Charles Duncan S/6294 Black Watch
GLENISLA SOLDIER WOUNDED.
Intelligence has been received in Glenisla that Private Charles Duncan, 8th Black Watch, has been wounded in action in France. The information was conveyed to his relatives in a letter received from a comrade of the wounded man. Previous to enlisting Private Duncan assisted his brother, who rents the farm of Crandart, Glenisla.

Glenisla Soldier Presumed Killed.
Official intimation has been received by Mr James Duncan, Crandart, that his brother, Lance-Corporal Charles Duncan, Black Watch, must now be presumed to have been killed in action. Lance-Corporal Duncan who joined the colours shortly after the outbreak of war, was posted as missing after the battle of Loos in September, 1915.
