Arthur has no known grave but is remembered on the Menin Gate Memorial. For reasons unknown Arthur is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.
Arthur Guthrie 14617 Scots Guards
GARDENER KILLED.
Private Arthur Guthrie, who was formerly in the service of Mr J. Ernest Cox, was a son of Mrs Guthrie, Alyth, and late of Lochee. He was about 25 years of age, and enlisted two years ago. Private Guthrie had been in France for eighteen months.
