He was the brother of L/Cpl James Melville Coventry, 407068, 1st Battalion Canadian Infantry, who was killed in action, 22.02.1917.
Andrew was taken prisoner 05.06.1915 and initially held captive at Bellelager, before being transferred to Hamlin. He was repatriated back to the UK 03.01.1919.
