For more information on Andrew visit Andrew’s Service Record. Andrew’s brother also fell during the Great War, he was Pte Herbert Cochrane 928, 10th Battalion, Australian Infantry who died 02.05.1915. Herbert was born in Adelaide, Australia. For more information on Herbert, visit Herbert’s Service Record. Andrew’s other brother Donald James Cochrane who was also born in Dundee, served with the Australian Mining Corps, Reg No 515, 2nd Tunnelling Company and was a P.O.W. interred in Germany. Donald survived the war and died 19.05.1954. Andrews third brother Reginald Downie Cochrane also served in the Australian Army and survived the war, dying 20.09.1949.
