4TH BLACK WATCH PRIVATE KILLED IN ACTION.
HAD LONG MILITARY EXPERIENCE.
Mrs Allan, who resides at 60 Annfield Road, Dundee, has also received official intimation that her son, Private Thos. Allan, of the 4th Black Watch, was killed in action on 9th May. Private Allan, who was 30 years of age, served for thirteen years in the 3rd Black Watch (Special Reserve), and enlisted in the 4th Black Watch on the outbreak of war. He was formerly employed as a labourer, and was married and leaves a widow and five of a family.
