Alfred Rowe lived at 4 Stewart’s Cottages, Eskbank, near Dalkeith and was born in Plymouth. The Roanoke finished a voyage from Liverpool to Philadelphia and back to Leith in October 1915 but Alfred Rowe was not in that Crew List. He drowned in a accident in the Dundee Graving Dock.
