Alex was the brother of Pte, George Potter S/41750, 8th Battalion, Black Watch who was killed in action 28.09.1918.
For reasons unknown this man is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour.

LOCHEE CAMERON KILLED.
Another Dundee victim is Private Alexander C. Potter, Cameron Highlanders. When the war broke out Potter enlisted in Kitchener’s Army, and had been a year at the front. Prior to enlistment he was a millworker in the service of Cox Bros., Ltd., and lived with his father, Mr A. D. Potter, at 9 Elder’s Lane, Lochee.
