Alexander Pitcairn M.M. 32106 Scottish Rifles
DUNDEE MILITARY MEDALLIST.
Private Alexander Pitcairn, Scottish Rifles, son of Mr and Mrs Robert Pitcairn, 15 Hill Street, Dundee, has been awarded the Military Medal for conspicuous gallantry in action. Private Pitcairn, who is 21 years of age, enlisted about two years ago, and has been in France for twelve months. Some time ago he was invalided home with trench fever, but returned to France in May of this year. Before enlisting he was employed with the Aberdeenshire Meat Co., butchers, Wellgate.
