For reasons unknown this man is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour. Alexander was the brother of Pte John McKechnie, 201207, 5th Battalion Highland Light Infantry, who was killed in action 17.04.1917 and Pte Malcolm McKechnie, 7001, 1st Battalion Highland Light Infantry, who died 18.09.1916.
