DUNDEE SOLDIER GAINS MILITARY MEDAL.
Gunner A. Brown, Royal Garrison Artillery, whose wife resides at 24 Hillbank Road, Dundee, has been awarded the Military Medal for bringing in two wounded men under heavy shell fire. Gunner Brown enlisted in July, 1916, and was wounded in the following year. He was formerly in the employment of Messrs John N. Kyd & Co., jute spinners, Rashiewell Works, Dundee.
Gunner Brown is one of five brothers who all enlisted at the call of their country. One of these was killed fifteen months ago, and another dangerously wounded. The other two are serving in Egypt and France respectively.
