More about Walter Mill
Walter Mill was the son of Mr James and Mrs Jane Mill and the husband of Mrs Helen Mill (nee Duncan) of Ferry Road, Dundee. The steam trawler Primrose was registered in Dundee and was owned by Messrs Cameron & Macfarlane. She sank after striking a mine 17 miles South West of Tod Head near Stonehaven. The mine is thought to have been laid by the German submarine UC-29. All nine of the crew lived in Dundee and were lost in the sinking. Their names are on the Tower Hill Memorial in London.
