More about William Alasdair Campbell Macleod
For reasons unknown William is not listed on the original Dundee Roll of Honour, but is remembered on the Dundee City Police War Memorial under the surname of McLeod.
William was originally a teacher prior to joining Midlothian Constabulary where he served for 5 months prior to transferring to Dundee City Police.
He joined the Seaforth Highlanders 28 October 1915 and was killed in action 12 October 1916. A brother served with the Cameron Highlanders.
