Peter Sunney Royal Scots
EXPERIENCED DUNDEE SOLDIER WOUNDED.
Private Peter Sunney, 64 Kemback Street, Dundee, who was wounded a few days ago, has a long soldiering experience. For twelve years he was on foreign service with the Dublin Fusiliers, but was clear of the army when war broke out, being employed with J. T. Inglis & Son, Riverside Works, Carolina Port. He speedily re-enlisted, however, throwing in his lot with the Lancers regiment. This regiment was ultimately sent to Egypt, and Sunney, who had soldiered there before, and was anxious to get to the front, transferred to the Royal Scots. He joined the 2d Battalion of that regiment in the firing line in February. Private Sunney has been wounded in the elbow and hand.

There is no Peter Sunney listed on pension or medal records but there is a L/Cpl Michael A. Sunney, 25785, 15th Battalion, Royal Scots, son of Ann Freeman Sunney, 64 Kemback St, Dundee.
