D.C.M. FOR DUNDEE SERGEANT.

Sergeant Edward Mann, R.A.M.C., son of Mrs Mann 26 Balfour Street, Dundee, has been awarded the D.C.M.

The sergeant who is 27 years of age, was called up on the outbreak of hostilities, and has been in France for over two years.  Previous to enlistment he was a member of the staff of the Dundee Advertiser.

Marriage of City D.C.M.

On Monday the marriage was solemnised of Sergeant Edward Mann, D.C.M., R.A.M.C., a former member of the “People’s Journal” composing staff, and Miss Jean Bowman, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Bowman, Bank Street.  The ceremony, which took place at the bride’s home, was performed by Rev. John M’Connachie, St John’s U. F. Church.

Sergeant Edward Mann, D.C.M., R.A.M.C., has been in France for three years.  Some time ago he was awarded the D.C.M. for devotion to duty and gallantry on the field.  Prior to the war he was a linotype operator in the Dundee Advertiser.  His wife resides at 24 Bank Street.
