Simon Wylie Black Watch
TRULY A HERO.
Private Simon Wylie, Black Watch, son of Mr James Wylie, 5 High Street, Lochee, made a gallant sacrifice, when he gave up 1½ pints of his blood for transfusion. He saved the life of a comrade by his action. Pte. Wylie is only 19 years of age, and has only been five weeks in France. He was employed as an assistant overseer with Cox Bros., Lochee, before enlisting. He is at present too weak to proceed on three weeks’ leave, to which he is entitled for his gallantry.
