More about John Goodlet Bonnar

John Goodlet Bonnar   7094  King’s Own Scottish Borderers

Anxiety in Dundee Home.

A cloud of anxiety has also descended upon the household of Private John Goodlet Bonnar, a King’s Own Scottish Borderers Reservist.  His wife, who lives at 31 South George Street, has received a message from the military authorities saying that he was posted as missing on 16th inst.

Private Bonner is 33 years of age, and saw a lot of fighting in the Boer War, in the course of which he was slightly wounded.

Before mobilisation orders were issued last month, Private Bonner was employed at Dundee Tay Bridge Station as a porter.
