DUNDEE ROYAL SCOT IS WOUNDED
BY BURSTING SHELL.
Private R. M’D. Ness, Royal Scots, son of Mrs Ness, 42 Gellatly Street, Dundee, has been admitted to the Wharncliffe Hospital, Sheffield, suffering from severe wounds to the left hand. His injuries, which were sustained in the recent fighting, are understood to have been caused by the bursting of a shell. There is a danger of his losing several fingers, bur every effort possible is being made to save them. Private Ness is 20 years of age, and was previously employed as a carter with Messrs Mackay & Robbie. He had been at the front since the new year.
